In 2007, FFP spent over  JA $23.2 million on about 62 projects which include water improvement such as catchments, distribution lines, guttering and tanks, sanitation, building and construction.

In collaboration with the Jamaica National Building Society Foundation (JNBSF) and other Corporate Donors,  Food for the Poor officially launched the Islandwide School Sanitation Project on December 22, 2006.  Corporate Jamaica has so far  donated JA $10 million towards the project and FFP Inc, USA has matched that amount bringing it to a total figure of  JA $20 million.

Under this project, basic and primary schools across the island that are using pit latrines will have them replaced  with modern sanitary facilities in an effort to promote proper hygiene in schools and to improve the conditions under which people live.

Subsequent to the launch of the programme, FFP has since replaced pit latrines in
24 schools at a cost of over  JA $13 million
