Food for the Poor (FFP) works with the churches, schools, hospitals and other institutions that deal directly with the poor to fill their most urgent needs and to encourage self-sufficiency in those who would otherwise lose hope.
By actively sourcing gifts in kind and bulk purchasing on the world market, FFP is able to supply food, housing, medical supplies and pharmaceutical items, tools and machines of various kinds, school furniture and books, and countless other items worth nearly 300 per cent more than the donations we receive.
The support and endorsement received from shippers, customs departments and governments also contribute to us being able to give the poor nearly $3.00 in aid for every $1.00 received.
